Food Drive

Grade 5 and 6 students with 150 Mile Elementary School organized a food drive in their school, collecting 1,000 food items for the Salvation Army food bank in Williams Lake.

"We're learning about global hunger as a world problem," said the class' teacher Brandi Vath as she explained why they decided to organize the food drive. "The kids wanted to do something and they kind of generated the idea," she said.
With big smiles and helping hands, the students delivered the food donations on Tuesday, May 6 directly to the food bank.
